AIS BATU CAMPUR (ABC)

Ais batu campur also known as ais kacang literally means ice beans. It also means mixed ice. This is a Malaysian dessert which is also common in Singapore and Brunei. There it is called ice kacang. Usually, an ice kacang is a machine shaved ice, drenched in colourful sweet syrups, coated condensed milk. Beneath the mountainous ice, there are many treasures to be found.

Often, a large serving of attap chee (palm seed), red beans, sweetcorn, grass jelly, cubes of agar agar and cendol from the base. Today, ice kacang comes in bright colours and with different fruit cocktails and dressings. Some stalls have even intoduced novelty toppings such as durian, chocolate syrup and ice cream. To make it more superb it can be added with groundnuts and adding some scoops of ice cream makes it more presentable and delicious.
